What's your #1 tip when dealing with clients?
To always go above and beyond even when you feel it is too much; the quality customer service you deliver will keep your customers returning and they will naturally recommend you to their family and friends.
What is your most memorable experience as a business owner in France?
My very first sale. You never forget your first customer.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Crafting really is my passion. Creating for others and seeing them cherish what I have made and appreciating the time and care I have put into it is very heartwarming and just encourages me to make more!
What do you do to switch off from your business?
I'm not sure I ever really do! Being independent I need to always keep an eye on all sides of the business and respond rapidly to customers, etc. Being passionate about my work makes it a huge part of my life. A bubbly bath and a glass of wine can be heaven at the end of a busy day to help with switching off and taking a well earned break.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in business in France?
Never underestimate your costs. If you are starting as ME (Micro Entreprise) then there is no option to offset any expenses in this regime. These can be large for some businesses, and very small for others.
What's the best book you have ever read?
I don't have one specific book but I do have one author I love. Adele Parks. Any book by her, I simply can't put it down once I start.
A penguin walks through your front door wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he there?
Any chance of a Mojito, I'm parched?
