I live and work in France, I work as a Social Media Manager for a number of UK and French based clients. As well as managing their social media activity I have great input into helping create content schedules, so that clients are authentic and remain up to date with the social media landscape as it changes.
I am regularly booked to deliver 1-to-1 Skype training sessions to individual business owners who want to be in control of their social media activity. The training is bespoke and tailored to each business. During those training sessions, we explore ideas of how you create your calendar of content and armed with useful tools you can keep your social media activity consistent. If this appeals to you, feel free to contact me.
I have been working in this capacity for over 5 years and my working day is pretty much online. If I'm not scheduling and managing accounts, I'm researching topics and creating content, as well as preparing for Skype sessions. I have worked within the recruitment and finance industries as well as charities and communication companies. I have a flair for of off the wall creativity, which has been put to good use when organising charity events and my day to day work. I particularly honed in on social media for a variety of reasons. It is a busy arena to work in, it requires planning, use of tools and a quickness to keep on top of topics that are relevant to clients. It means I can be their eyes and ears for my clients for trending topics and help bring their business story to life. Plus I have been able to make recommendations to enrich customer connection and use my own personal and professional networks to introduce services and new connections.
My passion is people and communication and bringing these together. I am co-admin for a busy and large online group for ladies in business in France, aptly called Ladies in Business in France. I keep my own Facebook business page busy, it is full of tips and links to help you on your social media journey. I volunteer for Elephant Haven - a charity dedicated to providing France with it's first retirement home for elephants and I have a monthly Business Corner slot for etcetera magazine - an English speaking magazine for expats in France. My monthly snippets help fellow micro entrepreneurs on all things business. I have also set up a local business networking group close to my home near Chef Boutonne - Oui Chef - aimed at getting local business owners in the same room to chat, share ideas and concerns and support.
My business name is called Alacim, which is my name backwards. I work from home and am married to a fellow auto entrepreneur, Paul, who is an electrician, and I keep his online presence alive and kicking... he can be found at www.electriciananglaisenfrance.com. We have 2 jack russell terriers. We love visiting different places across France, board games and love throwing great parties! I love trees and elephants, chocolate and bubbles.
Yours socially,
Micala
